Two men known as the "Interstate Bandits" robbed the First Citizens Bank at 4801 Capital Boulevard in Raleigh Thursday.
Police said the men entered the bank, vaulted the counter and grabbed money out of the cash drawers. They shoved several people during the robbery, but no one was hurt.
The men are wanted in four states in connection with eight other bank robberies dating back to May 8, 2008. There have been eight robberies along interstate highways in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. Four have been in North Carolina at banks in Huntersville, Cary, Concord and Raleigh.
Investigators say these men are becoming more violent in each robbery. They need anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of these robbers to call the Charlotte Field Office of the FBI at 704-377-9200 or 911. People can also call CrimeStoppers, 919-266-2746.
