The BASF Smile Train is pulling into Wake Forest on Sunday, June 29th and it's going to be big!
What started as a "smallish" race where I was expecting 100 or so athletes has grown to a field of 325 registrants totaling close to 350 athletes!
The amazing part of this is that 100% of these 350 athletes registration fees will be going The Smile Train. Even better, The Smile Train sends 100% of their donations directly to patient programs.
So - this race is going to bring over $11,000 for The Smile Train!
Almost 1/3 of the entrants are from Wake Forest and a large number of the athletes will be doing their first triathlon!
We'd love to have you come out and line the streets of Heritage Wake Forest to cheer on your neighbors!
Date: Sunday, June 29, 2008
When: 7am race starts (
Where: Heritage Wake Forest Swim Club
Registration is closed but we can use some volunteers (arrive at the race site at 5:45am.)
Parking will be at the retail centers at Rogers & Heritage Lakes and at the Smith Creek Soccer Center.
