The girls of Girl Scout Daisy Troop 11902 had a great first year being in Girl Scouts! They recently ended the year and celebrated with a Bridging to Brownies ceremony. Some of the fun things the troop did this year included Hiking at Blue Jay Point park and learning about water conservation, going to the Poe Center for health to learn about how to take care of our bodies; and they learned about Native Americans who lived in North Carolina when they attended the Indian Girl Nation Camporee at Camp Graham! All of the girls had a blast this year. The Girl Scout Daisy program is the first level a girl can join in Girl Scouting. The girls are in Kindergarten, and are introduced to the Girl Scout program by earning petals which represent the different aspects of the Girl Scout Law. The girls of Troop 11902 are looking forward to all of the fun things they get to be involved in when they’re Brownies this fall!
